The Politics of Interdisciplinary Studies published
The Politics of Interdisciplinary Studies: Essays on Transformations in American Undergraduate Programs, edited by Tanya Augsburg and Stuart Henry, is now available from publisher McFarland & Company, Inc. This collection of essays highlights the popularity of interdisciplinary undergraduate studies programs and their recent gains in the world of higher education, and then addresses the paradoxical failure of these programs to achieve a permanent position in the curricula of individual universities and colleges. AIS has sponsored this book, and Its editors are both members of the AIS Board of Directors. Contributors include William H. Newell (Miami University); Rick F. AIS Mission and Vision statements are now online
What is the mission of the Association for Integrative Studies? What is its vision? Website visitors will find answers to these questions on the Mission and Vision page of the website in the pulldown menu under "About." The AIS Board of Directors adopted new language for the Mission Statement and approved a Vision Statement at a mid-year meeting in March. Go>>
