Site Visit Team Schedule
Miami University is preparing for its periodic accreditation review by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Like all colleges and universities in the United States, Miami must be accredited in order for our students to be eligible for federal financial aid. Degrees from an accredited institution are also required for admission to graduate and professional schools, qualification for professional licenses, and so on.
The University will be visited by twelve members of a Higher Learning Commission Evaluation Team from January 31 through February 2, 2005.
Faculty, Staff and Students Asked to Speak with Accreditation Site-Visit Team
Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to share their insights and views concerning Miami University at open meetings with the accreditation site-visit team on Monday, January 31, and Tuesday, February 1.
The site-visit team has scheduled meetings at the Oxford, Hamilton, and Middletown campuses as part of Miami's reaccreditation review by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. University-wide accreditation by the Commission is necessary for Miami students to obtain federal financial aid and for their degrees to be honored by employers, graduate schools, and professional organizations.
