How do I get e-mail?
Information from your Personnel Data Sheet and appointment form will be used to enter your employment record on the university database. Through an overnight process, an e-mail account will automatically be generated for you. Your e-mail address begins with an assigned unique ID, usually the first six letters of your last name and the initials of your first and middle name followed by @muohio.edu. If you have a common name and initials you may have a number instead of an initial.
The first time you check on your e-mail account, you need to use the default password which is the month and day of your birth, followed by the last four digits of your social security number (mm/dd/ssss). You need to change this default password for security purposes. Information Technology Services will send you confirmation of your e-mail address. If you have any questions please contact the IT Services Support Desk at 529-7900.
