Undergraduate Major

THE UNDERGRADUATE MAJOR in Comparative Religion at Miami University allows for a highly individualized program.  Its relative brevity in regard to credit hours allows most students to combine Comparative Religion with a second major.

REQUIREMENTS

1) At least 24 total semester hours in Relgion courses.

2) REL 302 Methods for the Study of Religion (4).

3) At least 12 semester hours of the total 24 hours in Religion at 300 level or above (including REL302).

4) Additional courses in Religion, chosen with your adviser.

5) No more than six credit hours at 100 level can count toward the major.

6) REL 207 and 209 do not count toward the major; however, they may count as related hours.

7) Related Hours (18 required) -- These should be chosen with your adviser; 10 of these hours must be 300 level or above.
