Unless otherwise specified, the FAQ information is based on the data used for official federal reporting (October 15 snapshot for student enrollment information; November 1 for faculty and staff information). Because different snapshot dates (including 15th day of the semester, October 15th, November 1 for employee information, and end of term) are used for different reporting purposes, data found elsewhere on the OIR webpage, including the Fact Book, may not be identical to the FAQ information.

How many degrees did Miami grant during the past year?

In 2010-2011, Miami University granted 28 (undergraduate) certificates, 351 associate's degrees, 4,105 bachelor's degrees, 519 master's degrees, and 52 doctoral degrees. How much does tuition cost?

Tuition for in-state undergraduate students on the Oxford campus is $12,625 for the 2011-2012 academic year. Tuition for out-of-state undergraduate students on the Oxford campus is $27,797. The typical room and board is $10,640, although this will vary depending upon the plan chosen. What is the academic background of the first-year students?

The average ACT score for the fall 2011 incoming first-year students was 26 and the average composite SAT score was 1186. 32% of incoming first-year students ranked in the top 10% of their high school class. As of the fall 2011 semester, Miami University employs 1,547 faculty members, including 262 on the Hamilton campus, 164 on the Middletown campus, and 1,121 on the Oxford campus.
