LEARNING IN ACTION

When I was a freshman, a classmate told me about Arcosanti, an experimental city in Arizona. After spending time at this city the following summer, I returned to Miami and spread the knowledge that I gained by giving two presentations to fellow students and faculty and publishing a paper in a peer-reviewed journal. Right now, I am extending this research into an undergraduate thesis, with a focus on the impact of the sociocultural attitudes of American society on the contemporary urban patterns of our country.



Although not exhaustive, these lists of resources are particularly useful for educators interested in learning more about engaged learning, students' development toward self-authorship, and discovery-based or generative education.
