LEARNING IN ACTION

Michelle Fakler '09

"The summer following my second year at Miami University, I volunteered at The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland and at Medwish International. I developed meaningful relationships with professionals in my field and had profound experiences with patients that reinforced what I was learning, and what I am currently learning, in the classroom. This amazing opportunity has shaped who I am and what I hope to do in the future."

Although all members share the same goal-- moving students to self-authorship-- the paths and approaches that they use vary.
