Research & Partnerships
Research:
EHS researchers--whether they're established scholars at the peak of their career or student scholars--have one thing in common. They are all seeking insights into important contemporary issues.
At EHS we addresse critical issues facing children, schools and society. Graduate students and undergrads alike have opportunities to participate with faculty in significant scholarly activities.
Partnerships:
Our strong and growing partnerships with school districts and community agencies provide many opportunities to put research into practice. In fact, Miami is one of the few schools of education nationwide to have a Partnership Office.
Among our notable partnerships are those with urban schools. Check out a video that highlights our Urban Teaching Cohort. To learn more about this program, go to the Urban Cohort website.
Another program, launched in fall 2010, is Miami Connections, a half-day, alternative school program that assists local ninth and tenth graders in their transition to high school.
