A Message From the Chair

I would like to thank you for taking an interest in studying with us. We are proud to offer this online guide of our educational resources, and hope you will find it helpful and informational.

Our department offers service courses for teacher education students, a thematic sequence & capstone for the Miami Plan, and an undergraduate major with four licensure programs in special education. We are also proud to offer a Master's degree in educational psychology, a Master's/Specialist Degree in school psychology, and graduate coursework for programs outside the department.

Within the Educational Psychology program you may take an option in development and learning or pursue a first certificate in Special Education. You must already have special education certification to pursue the master's in Special Education. The School Psychology program is a combined Masters/Education Specialist which takes three years to complete.

A limited number of graduate teaching and research assistantships are available each year. In order to be considered for an assistantship for fall you must apply by February 1 of that year.

If you have further questions about our programs or the admission procedure, please email edp@muohio.edu or call 513-529-6621.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nelda Cambron-McCabe
