The Department of Teacher Education (EDT) administers undergraduate teacher licensure programs approved by the Ohio Division of Teacher Education and Licensure. Each program, when combined with a baccalaureate degree, makes the candidate eligible for Provisional Ohio teaching licensure in a selected teaching field. EDT offers majors and licensure programs in Early Childhood Education (ages 3-8 and pre-kindergarten-grade 3), Middle Childhood Education (ages 8-14 and grades 4-9), Adolescent to Young Adult Education (ages 12-21 and grades 7-12), and Foreign Language Education (ages 3-21 and grades prekindergarten-12). For requirements for each of these programs click here.
