Jim Shiveley was a former social studies teacher at Beavercreek and Wilmington, Ohio. He is currently an Associate Professor in and Chair of the Department of Teacher Education, where he teaches social studies methods. His areas of research include citizenship education for a democratic society and the development of school/university partnerships
