Phyllis Mendenhall

Phyllis Mendenhall is a former high school English teacher and community college speech communication instructor in Iowa. She is the advisor who meets with students coming into all of the majors in the Department of Teacher Education and who tries to help them out when when they encounter problems. She especially enjoys helping students figure out how they can make the most of their college experience, with double majors, minors, study abroad, etc. On many Wednesdays during the academic year, she schedules "Walk-In Wednesdays" when students can just show up and take their turn to see her when they have quick questions that do not take a long appointment. The walk-in schedule is posted on bulletin boards around McGuffey. To schedule an appointment, go to the outer office area of 404 McGuffey. She has a notebook with appointment sign-up sheets on the credenza. You can stop by and find a time that fits your schedule.
