Scholarly Message:

My research is in the area of efficacy beliefs and how teacher education programs can prepare more efficacious and motivated teachers and what influence these teachers will have on student outcomes. My other research interest has been in the relationship between self-efficacy and performance in physical activities and sport. I am interested in how the reciprocal cycle of self-efficacy and performance can be enhanced with athletes of all ages and with coaches. My research has focused on how feedback, coaching techniques, and psychological interventions enhance self-efficacy beliefs.
