Scholarly Interests:

Dr. Webster's initial research interests included the influence of interactive reading aloud of picture storybooks on young children's oral and written retellings of stories and using multiethnic children's literature to promote ethnic awareness. She is expanding her research agenda now to include struggling readers and writers' oral and written retellings of informational texts.
