Scholarly Interests:

Dr. Lee’s scholarly interests are related to the relationship between young children, education, and society.   In particular, Dr. Lee is interested in examining what are chosen to teach and learn in schools and how socio-cultural values and assumptions can influence a way of teaching and defining certain subject contents, social issues, and cultures.  The specific areas of research include cultural (pop culture and media) studies, gender studies, multicultural education, teacher education, and comparative/international studies.
