| The Discovery
Center at Miami University has received funding to evaluate
the Ohio Resource Center for
Mathematics, Science, and Reading (ORC). The ORC was established
to address the need for the compilation and dissemination of
expert certified "best practice" materials to teachers,
administrators, parents, and others involved in educating students
in mathematics, science, and reading. The ORC improves teaching
and learning by promoting best practices based upon the national
and state standards in mathematics, science, and reading for
