Accreditation
is an external review process by which national experts authorize
that a program has met high standards and professional expectations.
These standards are typically set by highly qualified and
nationally known professionals in the field of study; accreditation
assures our students that our programs have met the highest
professional standards for quality education. The accreditation
process usually involves an extensive self-study (wherein
the program outlines how it has met each of the standards),
an on-site visit, and a judgment by the accrediting body.
