I feel extremely prepared for the job that I am in now - even with being labeled as a "school administrator." I know that I still have plenty of growth to experience in the future, but it is the firm foundation of school psychology practices that I learned at Miami that have been and will continue to be the guiding principles in my career.” |

Thoughts: “I am so pleased that I chose Miami's School Psychology program. The classroom and experiential components of Miami's program prepared me well to enter the field as a school psychology practitioner. In addition, the research component of the program helped prepare me to pursue a doctoral degree. The faculty at Miami were always available and sought to provide me with individually tailored experiences. Finally, the cohort system helped promote strong bonds between my fellow students which persist to this day. I want to thank Miami for providing me with such a great experience!” |

Professional Accomplishments/Activities: For the past two years Casey has worked on the district team that rewrote their Intervention Assistance Team manual in response to RTI initiatives. The presented the manual in September of 2007 an she was mainly involved in development of the interventions section of the manual. This is also her second year as a PBS Coach. |

Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Gina is currently involved in creating an RTI module for the central Oahu School District. This will be a huge accomplishment for Gina, to get Oahu involved in RTI. There are only three people in the entire district working together to revise district forms to reflect RTI, one of which is Gina. Gina has also been nominated to give numerous in-services on RTI process and data collection through CBM in their various complexes as well, they’re going to pilot the module in one elementary school and see how it goes before expanding to the whole district. Gina is very excited about this and a bit overwhelmed. |

Thoughts: “The excellent reputation of Miami University's school psychology graduate program is known nationwide, which has given me a huge advantage when looking for jobs across the country. I've worked in three states (Ohio, Georgia, and now Hawaii) and I received multiple job offers in each state within a few weeks of posting my resume. The training I received at Miami University, specifically in curriculum-based measurement and response-to-intervention, has also provided me with lots of leadership and teaching opportunities within every district I've worked in thus far.
So, that's pretty much it…aloha!”

As part of this initiative, they are utilizing a new student data base this year with universal screening data and restructuring class schedules and resources at the elementary level in order to allow more flexible interventions and progress monitoring time. |

Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Anastasia organized a series of seminars for families in the district with children with autisms in March of 2007. They had a series of talks over one month provided by CHMC and well as the CPS Autism Team. They were also able to provide child care and dinner at each seminar and the turnout was wonderful. |
