New to the Web?! Here are a few brief pointers for getting around the
Dragonfly Web pages. For more information we recommend The Netscape Navigator
Handbook. You can click on underlined words (such as "The Netscape
Navigator Handbook" above). To go to new pages you can also click on some pictures
such as this:
Too darn slow? The Dragonfly Web pages use many images in the JPEG
and GIF formats. We have tried to be economical. However, if you are dialing in via
modem, getting the first page loaded may be painfully slow. Once the home page loads
up, the rest of the pages should load much faster. There is not much else we
can do about this.
"Mail to" won't work? We set up "mail to" links that you can click on to
send us e-mail like this: Dragonfly@MUOhio.Edu. However, your web
browser must be set to specify a return address. If you don't have e-mail then
you're out of luck (see our postal address below).
Forms won't work? We set up forms so that you can send us information.
These work with the Netscape browser but may not work with others. If not,
please send us e-mail at Dragonfly@MUOhio.Edu or good old
postal mail at:
Graphics look bad? The graphics are in the JPEG or GIF formats, and we
assume that you have 256 colors. However, we check the pages with 16
colors, and most images look just fine. You can use a monochrome monitor, but
it's not pretty. Adjust your computer to as many colors as possible.
Everything is garbled? We use a lot of tables, and other features of
Netscape's browser. If your browser does not support tables or graphics,
some areas of the home page may look sloppy (for most other browsers this is
not a problem). Please click on the underlined words -- you are not missing
anything.
